The Changxing Island Ancient Great Wall Replica is located on in the Hengshan Mountain range in western Changxing Island, built in 1999, and 10 kilometers long, it was built completely in accordance with the Ming Great Wall. The grand walls run with the inclines and declines of the mountain range; the wall gates are mighty and spectacular, imposing and magnificent. The wall gates are inlaid with replicas of ancient relief sculptures. Within the walls are dangerous peaks and steep mountains, sudden drops and tall hills, pines, cypresses, firs and oaks cover the mountains, precious woods and wondrous trees are spread everywhere on the slopes and gullies, with Ming period lighthouses. The Hengshan Mountains overlook the historic landscape.
